Hannes Grassegger is an award-winning investigative reporter, economist and technologist.
As the director of Polarisnews.ch he and his team are developing a location-based news portal.

Hannes is the author of "Das Kapital bin Ich" (Kein & Aber Verlag, Berlin/Zürich, 2014), on why we should own our personal data. He is writing a book about digital life for Public Affairs (NYC).

Hannes is a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Experts Community and served on the Global Future Council on Media, Sports and Entertainment 2020/2021. He was a fellow at the Sandberg Institute at Gerrit Rietveld, and a Swiss fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC. He teaches at University of Basel.
